Life in plastic, it's fantastic
Am I the only one who finds this incredibly inappropriate?
Also, does anyone know how to copy a picture directly from the iPhone to a server (e.g. ftp it or scp it rather than email it to myself, save it, and upload it). Yes, I know I should finish that moblogging interface. It hasn't happened yet. I've got a terminal app on the phone, I just don't know the path to the photos to be able to grab it and put it. And yes, if you think that doing work in the terminal on an iPhone sounds a bit too geeky then you're right.

skywind8 says: I found Barbie itself inappropriate when I was about 6, and refused to play with her, because she seemed too sexual. It wasn't until I was an adult and read that she was originally invented to help preteens get comfortable with puberty, that I got confirmation that her sexuality was intentionally part of the toy, and what I suspected as a kid was at least somewhat accurate. I even had a friend in second grade who wanted to play barbies with me, and I insisted on keeping all the dolls dressed, not naked. Taking it to the next level (tattoo barbie and claim her body as your toy!!) actually doesn't seem like that much more of a stretch, if still generally inappropriate for little kids. Of course, I don't consider her any worse than the brats dolls. There are all sorts of "that's so wrong" children's toys around.Posted at: 2010-01-26 14:31:03
