With all these liars, liars

http://motherjones.com/blue-marble/2010/02/glenn-beck-environmentalist While their focus is on the disparity between his public advocacy an his personal beliefs on Global Warming, I think this misses the more important point, and one I've been making for close to 20 years. Many if not most of these pundits DO NOT BELIEVE the propaganda they are spouting. They rant and rail about issues and people and rile up their audiences to mobilize against (and it's almost always *against*) something or someone and they have a real impact on the politics and social policy and they DO NOT BELIEVE what they are saying and in fact often totally disagree with it. But they know what sells and their paychecks are more important to them than principles, or facts or truth. That is all you ever need to know about pundits. As I try to get across to my kids about advertisements: Assume it's a lie until proven otherwise.
