CONFUSION

I was reading something somewhere online and it referred to the many top hits by the Alan Parsons Project. This struck me as decidedly odd. The only song of theirs I could think of was Time (is flowing like a river). I tried to imagine how a fairly avante-garde jazz fusion guitarist would end up with a bunch of top 40 hits. I suppose versatility must be the answer and moved on. Then the other night it suddenly hit me: Alan Parsons is not Alan Holdsworth. Suddenly the last 30 years make slightly more sense than they did before that revelation.

I also frequently confuse Kim Deal and Kim Thayil.
